October 2017
The crisp night air is fading,
giving way to golden light.
It’s filtering through the treetops,
looking green, and gold, and bright.
The sky’s a canvas painted orange,
with streaks of pink and blue,
The birds are chirping sweetly now,
of a day brand-new.

God made the morning lovely,
just by telling it to be,
He made it only with a word,
He made it just for me.
